  • My MP7 and I made a beat yesterday on my external sequencer using the mp7 as a 16 ch midi sound module. Like sonars piano roll note editor laying out the tracks and sending midi notes to the mp7s 16 tracks. My problem is when I turned the unit off and back on the next day. All the sounds/ presets that I thought I saved were not in place. I kept saving my "song" and "presets" as I went. Why didnt it save the sound? I read that saving a multisetup is what I want? But only 63 savable sets? HELP

  • And to add to this post.

There has to be a way to have more than 63 savable locations on the command station to save your preset mappings. If I have to use 1 multisetup save slot to save a 16 track sound kit to be played from a external sequencer, that only gives me 63 different sound sets to make only 63 songs. If this is the only way to save preset mappings I guess I will have to learn how to do sysex dumps to save the multisetups on a PC when I have more than 63 songs on the mp7?

  • @echopraxia1 Multisetups are used for many different things. I use mine for parameters set in Sonar, MOTU's BPM, but as for a sound module no.. I simple use the blank templates where I can save my settings plus songs.. You can save your preset mappings to your user presets. you would do it the same as you would save a song.. When you save a song, What are your exact steps? also set the copy parameter first then save to next.

  • @orecordings When i save a song I am in song mode/view and press save/copy then use the cursor button to select the correct song location and hit home/enter a couple times and get a confirmation of the save. Could you explain this procedure for user presets.

  • @echopraxia1 That's right.. Make sure when you save a song to number 3 you must have your copy set to song number 3 also.. or else you will copy song number 0 to number 3 when you save it.. Follow me? I will make a short video and post it tomorrow on Copying and saving presets and songs for you.. It will be on Youtube bro

  • @echopraxia1 Did you save it to your user Presets? And to the correct song number?

  • @orecordings I kept saving to the same song location repeatedly. I was saving the presets. Probably not to user presets. But wouldn't that just make a new instance of the internal preset in to the user bank? The manual is hard to figure out because you need to refer to different sections of it to find the correct answer.

  • i know its not a sampler its a happy little drum machine / sequencer . but i can't make nothing if everytime i hit a pad this thing goes off and plays its own beat wtf !

  • @tonytraxx757 This is not a sampler.. however this is one of the best synths EVER made.. You have a powerful sequencer, synth and drum machine.. I will help you out bro.. read my other response.

  • how do you play single notes on this thing ? everytime i hit one pad and leave my finger on it more than a half second it gives me all these riffs i don't want ! im gonna sell this thing if i don't get some help . anybody know how to make this act like a regular drum machine and not some freaked out tecno crap lemme know . i can't even sample sounds off of this at the least cause of all these dumb riffs .tonyof757@yahoo.com
