  • The belly meat is used to make bacon but usually wild hogs are to lean not enough fat content

  • @acdcgreat thats starts while gutting. Dont cut anything wrong. That said, wash the meat right after. Then put in cooler FULL of ice. Leave that drain open. I add ice if needed and leave my pork on ice for at least 3 days for a sow or pocket pig. The bigger boars for 4-5 days. Drains the blood, ages teh meat a bit. That seems to help. At the same time, Ive harvested boar and cooked that same day.

  • Do you have any good tips on how to get the gamey taste out of the meat when you are eating the meat?

  • @deborahtucker94 just about any blade will gum up, cut the meat thru before you use the saw.

  • What type of blade do you use on your Sawzall? The one I've been using seems to gum up really badly.

  • Now you know!!! Take the time and cut the spine out. The ribs will seperate better that way after cooking.

  • They probably would!!! But I'm no pro and this is the first time doing it by myself. And yes, I've cut myself many times, but not on hogs!!! Thanks for the comment!!!

    How long, do you think, it would take, till this guy cuts his own leg, arm or anything else?
