Dr. Carl Baugh talks in his studio with Floyd Nolen Jones. They tell us how and why Seder Olam Rabbah spoiled the dating of the coming of Jesus.
God selected the Jews - God set the Jewish nation apart
1. To show the blessedness of the serving the true God
2. To show the Unity of God in the midst of universal idolatry
3. To receive, preserve, and transmit the scriptures
4. To produce according to the flesh, the Messiah
God selected the Jews to one day be his ministers to rule the world
There is a difference between the Jewish calendar, The Julian calendar, The Gregorian calendar
The Julian calendar -- Julius Caesar made it -- Stopped using the moon for months -- Made New Year January 1 instead of March 1- introduced the leap year (every fourth year) -
Abandoned
Next - The Gregorian calendar -- Around 1580 -- Pope Gregory XIII -- Monks worked on it -- Difference -- The Julian Calendar lost a day every 128 years -- drifting Julian calendar -- So on the Gregorian Calendar introduced a new leap year system -- It looses a day only 3000 years
Jewish Calendar -- Seder Olam Rabbah -- Book of the Order of the World -- Compiled by Rabbi Yose ben Halafta -- Jewish chronology -- Jewish Calendar
Jewish calendar -- From our Current Year 2008 -- Say 5768 -- Number of Years Since Creation
We would expect them to put that number somewhere around 6000 years since creation
Ussher's - 4004 BC creation
Seder Olam - 3761 BC Creation
Why do the Jews number their years so that there is a 243-year difference? (4004 -- 3761 = 243) -- Why are their missing years?
1. From the Creation to the birth of Abraham
Ussher 2008 Years 4004 -- 1996 BC
Seder Olam 1948 Years 3761 -- 1811 BC
Short of 0060 Years -- Because of Abraham and Terah
Terah Lived 205 Years Genesis 11:32
Terah Died when Abraham was 75 -75 Years Genesis 12:04
Terah was 130 at Abrams Birth 130 Years
Genesis 11:26 - Problem - 26 And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
Abram -- Abraham -- Named First because he was the linage to the messiah
If I was a jew I would find this wanker patrinising beyond belief.

@sane123 There is no Law of biogenisis, Abiogenisis is a Theory of how life began. And evolution has nothing to do with how life started. nice try.

@gregrutz evolution violates the LAW of biogenisis, evolutionists are so scientific since their BELIEFS are based on non-observable processes, its not science if it doesnt follow the scientific method

@gregrutz There is evidence of a flood, but it was not a worldwide one,and certainly nothing to do with a so called god.The Black Sea was created in about 5600BC,when the Mediterranean rose and merged the Black Sea which at the time was a freshwater lake. The people displaced took the story of the flood with them and was later inaccurately potrayed in the bible as Noah and his ark.TruthIsLife seems unable to grasp the concept that the bible is fiction and not historically correct.

@TruthIsLife7 You keep talking about evidence for a flood and creation but I haven't seen anything.
''Creation science involves... speciation.'' Speciation is another name for evolution. The bible says all kinds were made by god, which is it?

@TruthIsLife7 So how do feathered dinosaurs that lived 70 million years ago fit your crationism story.
Dinosaurs ruled the earth for 160 million years and most died in the last of 6 great mass extinctions. It is in the fossils record, the facts, direct evicence, the fossils. Why don't creationists look at them?
How do you explain the mass extinctions, six of them.
gregrutz 1 year ago
@gregrutz Yes, Darwinism replaced Lamarck, but even quite a number of evolutionists are admitting that natural selection can never account for the diversity of life that exists (and NS was first discovered by creationists and all NS so far seen fits entirely within creation science). Anyone who says there is no evidence for creation science is demonstrating deplorable ignorance (due mostly to evidence for the Bible being excluded from public education, so you are a victim, not the criminal).
TruthIsLife7 1 year ago
@gregrutz Creation science involves biogenesis, speciation, health science that is indisputably true and often flood science, ALL of which have profound evidence. All the supposed evidences for evolution that are observable are actually within creation science limit and support only creation science since they don't ever go past creation science limits into uniquely darwinian territory. The indirect evidences for evolution are very speculative and often fit creation science far better.
TruthIsLife7 1 year ago
Speculations?Well,
1) the idea that species changes entirely within creation science limits somehow proves that an organism can cross order, class, phyla & astoundingly even kingdom limits is one.
2) We almost never seen positive mutations & they can somehow produce all the diversity of life on the planet?
3) All phyla appear instantly at the same time without ancestors in the Cambrian.
So many more.
Making apriori judgements without investigating is a violation of science and objectivity.

@gregrutz Dr. Veith is not a pastor. He was for a LONG time an atheist who hated& ridiculed religion just like you do.He also got his secular ph.d. in ZOOLOGY&taught evolution at the university level. But,he started investigating the evidence for himself&found the scientific evidence for creation overwhelming. For many years CHAIRED a department of zoology in a secular university AS A CREATIONIST.
Last, science does not at all rule out the supernatural. That’s an apriori fallacy that atheists
