It is hard to hear the difference between this and stock in the video, perhaps it is due to the fact that most of the new sound is coming from the front of the car. It is significantly deeper sounding in person.

  • sounds better than mine by a longshot...so all you did was remove the resonator box behind the front bumper? No aftermarket exhaust or Intake? If so, I think i'll have to do the same

    Thanks

  • @slyboots2345 Yes, that is correct.. If you want to make it very simple, just remove the connecting rubber tube from the main airbox to the additional resonator that continues down the front bumper. This way, you can reconnect it quickly any time you'd like to return it to stock.

  • Pointless....plenty of catbacks that fly under the radar -

  • To me, it isn't pointless. The thing is, you are comparing a modification made to the intake system, with a modification of the exhaust system. Theorectically, you should be suggesting that I get an intake of some sort. This modification has nothing to do with my exhaust at all.. Kind of compraing apples to oranges.

  • @Brunt182

Personally I'd choose the Apexi WS2 Catback. Just my opinion though as I have heard alot of WS2's and never one is a noisy critter..

  • @Brunt182 don't get a catback cuz louder doesn't automatically mean better. and my friend has a catback on his camry and it just sounds like a fart can

  • Removing the resonator = raspiness. What you could do is run a straight pipe w/resonator from the cat converter back, deep and throaty. Another option is the Buddy Club Spec 2.

  • @Brunt182 ok man thanks again i just have a civic ex with i put a si exhaust on it man lol you have to cut so much of the piping off to get it to fit ahahaha but im looking into wither the k&n or a aem dont know which one though....thanks man

  • @blindrawing I would definitely go with an intake. I personally like the K&N Typhoon SRI. Sounds great, nice little performance boost as well. The stock exhaust is plenty loud enough. If anything, I would go with the HFP Axle-Back, as it is protected under warranty and still reasonably quiet.

  • yes plz dont get a catback lol you dont want a nice car to be turned into a fart cannon trust me that sound is great... i just but a si exhaust on my civic im wondering if i should take the res out but i dont want to sound like a mexican....so i might just get an intake any advice???
