I am having hell getting the drum off of my 67 bus. It has been sitting. It was drivable about 10 years ago, so i know it DID run/turn at one point. Got the cotter pin out of both sides and castle nuts are off. I tried to pull the bus with my truck and just dragged it without turning the wheels. I need some support and motivation. Everyone wants me to junk these 2 Buses but I say hell no! Robodiver66@yahoo.com

WHAT I DO IS HEAT THE DRUM UP WITH A TORCH WITH A ROSE BUD TIP SO YOU CAN APPLY PLENTY OF HEAT .. THIS WILL MELT THE BONDING GLUE ON THE SHOES WHICH ARE STUCK TO THE DRUMS. THEN YOU MUST BORROW A 356 PORSCHE DRUM PULLER WITH ALL 5 ARMS ATTACHED TO THE STUDS AND TORQUED DOWN .. TIGHTEN THE PULLER AND APPLY HEAT ... ITS STRONG ENOUGH TO BEND OFF THE BRAKE SHOES AND IT WILL PULL THE DRUM FREE. WITH THE ONLY DAMAGE BEING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE SPACER ARM WILL BEND OFF THE TABS..NO BIG DEAL.
