  • What they need to do now is to emigrate to Ireland and form a Dublin gaeltacht.

  • I'm not Irish, but it looks so natural when Irish people speak Gaelic. It's so much softer-sounding. It's like that's the language you are meant to speak. Speaking English, even with an Irish accent, seems foreign to you.

  • So cool! I'd love to improve my Irish. Do you think you could send me some details about it? Provided it's still going on.

  • Ba ceart don ICC mhic léín na hÉireann a mhúnadh! Tá tuiscint maith ag an lead óg agus níl sé ach á foghlaim le haigh dhá bhlian?

  • @MacAnRiogh

I've been looking for a place to learn Irish. I should go there then! I don't live that far from it.

  • @Bowietastic He said "Chuala mé an teanga timpeall an tí, mar bhí as Carna mo sean-athair."

  • @theRod1995 Dia duit i am an irish speaker from Belfast i can translate your passage if you like slán go foill Conohúr mac neasa

  • @sebreathnach it was the irish that converted the anglo-saxons, as well as the vikings who were the pagans. however the english, well normans forced gaelic to not be spoken in church anymore nor did they allow masses to be spoken in anglo-saxon england. damn normans ruined britain and ireland!!!

  • damn bostonians!!! i live in central ma and no one speaks it out here. probably because the irish nieghborhoods are gone and no its all puerto rican trash and all you here is their mumble jumble. i wonder if the hibernian club teaches it? my grandmother only taught me the lords prayer in gaelic thats it.
