In the battle of dueling grocery store bags the new Wegmans Hippo Sak takes on a crappy Giant bag and the annoying old Wegmans bags. Watch to see how many encyclopedias each bag can hold!
P.S. I filmed and put stuff in the bag at the same time, so excuse some of the cruddy camera work.

ii work at wegmans as a cashier.. people still insist on coming thru my line asking for double bags lol

Actually, Wegmans did this to reduce the amount of bags in landfills. The hippo bags hold up to 30 pounds, which means less bags. So there is less bags in the land fill. Also, Wegmans encourages people to re-use bags if they chose not to use reusable bags. If someone goes to any Wegmans store they have a little box so you can recycle them. Good demonstration. =]

Or how about when people ask you to double bag EVERY SINGLE BAG?! I told them that weight doesn't break them and the only thing that does is very sharp edges. A carton of strawberries will break those bags before 10 cans!
