I'm glad Mark Driscol calls out these sort of cowards instead of playing into and sucking up to their fear/manipulation "fear-me or I'll do something to you" sickness.
About anger. There is such a thing as righteous anger. Jesus got angry on several occasions. Like at the temple with the comercializing sacred things and calling the the people who preached, but didn't practice "fool, blind guides, brood of vipers"... you know all this of course.

needs to be sucked up to in the name of "love" & feel entitled to royal treatment galore-- a reality check and kick in the butt is sometimes the most loving thing for them.
"Sorry, you're not God, not the center of the universe. Stop being so arrogant and think about how you're harming instead of your yourself and your bruised ego all the time,-- and don't make it my fault you're angry to hear this." (that's to that kinda person... not you BTW... unless you are... which I doubt)

and tell the arrogant ppl they can't act like they're the center of the universe and don't tollerate all the garbage that comes with that mindest you're attacked as being "unloving", "pharasaical", "legalistic"... etc...etc..
I'm glad there's someone who knows where the problem lies and isn't going "understand" a load of rubbish or blame the victums of injustice.
I understand being more understaning and patient with new Christians, but when the arrogant think their every whim

I don't know if it was 100% wisest way for Mark Driscoll to address this issue (I downloaded this vodcast and was kinda questioning the wisdom of that approach when I saw it)... but coming from a "Christian family culture" where if you're arrogant and act like a bully (not physically necessarily, but just bullish and obnoxious and self-absorbed) you largely are feared and treated with respect, but if you're honest and don't emitt a "fear-offending-me" vibe--

@JamesJon1187 I think you missed my point my dear friend, I say these men are responsible for their own behaviour what I questioned was the lack of love and him calling that the holy ghost the holy ghost can't yell at people never has never will....how is it that we can bring crack heads and drunks to the Lord,think they are nice to their wives? The goodness of God leads to repentance not works my friend, not works!

Yeah, blame it on Pastor Mark. Care to make Judas's corrupt heart Jesus's fault as well? After all 3 years of teaching and still such a hard heart! "Jesus, Jesus, look at Judas. He still worships money and himself after 3 years under your mentoring. Where did you go wrong? I blame you!"
Mark Driscol is certainly not perfect,but he is faithful and his heart has been certainly in the right place up until now from all I can see. Be careful for straining out gnats and swallowing camels.

What the heck are you trying to say here? Piper and driscoll are great preachers.... they are laughing is that the issue? You need to listen to what they both preach, this is a one off chat most of the time they are both loyal to the bible and warn their churchs about heretics and faulse gospels. And Mark is yelling at the end at "men" who treat women in a ungodly manner!

I CERTAINLY DO NOT "NEED" TO LISTEN TO MEN I DISAGREE WITH WHICH SPRINKLE TRUTH WITH THEIR OWN MAN CENTERED LEANINGS IN MINISTRY FOR PROFIT. NO, MARK IS YELLING AT COMPLETE STRANGERS OVER THE INTERNET WHO DO NOT NEED OR ASK FOR HIS SPASMODIC TIRADES. SO I AM SAYING STAY AWAY FROM THESE TEACHERS !!

What happens if no one tells off these guys who are perving at women on the net? i mean come on mate - ultimatly its a good thing what they are doing and you yourself are testament to that. the fact that you are trying to discredit them means that they are doing something right! Jesus himself said that the world will hate you because they hate me. I say Mark Driscoll and John Piper must be doing something right.

Eph 5:3 But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
