The only cover on the bEdRoom tapeS, "People Who Died," pays homage to the late great Jim Carroll; Ariel's catchy punk-rock rendition of the 80's hit. Building upon the foundation laid by the original, Ariel reworked "People Who Died" into a highly energized, faster version that promises to be just as much fun as the original.

  • I saw this on LOGO and I hate it......why did it get LGBT awards? It is so morbid. All it reminds me of is my pending doom from HIV.

  • @weezerz It's not at all intended that way. Jim Carroll wrote this song in the early 80's. I've always found it very powerful. I actually covered it as a tribute to the many friends I've lost over the years. I think Jim Carroll also intended it as a "tribute" to his friends. Stay well. Stay strong. Stay healthy.

  • Cool track ! Sounds like Lou reed to me. Heard you on the Bill Northrup show !

  • @hothoytable cheers!!!! thanks. Lou is GOD!!!

  • Thanks for sharing, love the Lou Reed, New York Vibe and Homage to late punk. tasty

  • @urinine Okay turns out I was an ass. After "talking" to Ariel it turns out he's the sincere sort and I'm the ass. Sorry.

  • Love this version - good job Ariel!

  • A fitting tribute or a crass capitalisation? I dunno so I'll be steering clear of this track. I dunno Ariel Aparicio but seems like someone heard this song when the media covered Jim's death, and then thought, 'Wow that's a good song.' and Bobs your uncle.
