Fuck this idiot.

i don't know why you're talking about his 12,000 dollar gift, bribe, whatever when the point of his movie is about how the American health care system sucks. Even if he didn't put that part in the end, I wouldn't care. Why? Because I wasn't focused on the money he sent that guy. I was thinking about how everyone should be able to have the health care they need when they need it.

I live in a third world country. My mother's gall bladder surgery costs us $1,500 US Dollars (adjusted to exchange rates during those times). A $121 US Dollars on a medicine could only costs us less than 2 dollars. I even have a cousin from America to take out his wisdom tooth here. He said that it'll cost about $700 there while he only incurred about $50 US Dollars here. He makes profit yes but cnsdr the people who are rich in ur country. They make more than the middle and poor strata combined.

JimK didn't know the contribution was from Moore. I saw the Moorewatch post where he thanked his "Guardian Angel" before Sicko was even released in theaters. Everything in this video is bullshit!
-
Jim K spends his entire life telling everyone there is nothing wrong with the HealthCare system. His website is a Republican propoganda site similar to what you would see in North Korea or China. He can not handle the truth. Are the 9/11 people in Sicko lying about their failure to receive treatment? I don't think so. Moore was proven right and if he did not provide the money, highly likely Jim K's wife would be now 6 feet under because in the USA you can get healthcare if you can afford it.
-
Jim K found out that Moore posted the cheque, so he keeps it anyway even though JIM K truly believes in his critical opinion of Moore. If JIM had any character at all he would have sent the cheque back, but in reality his wife's health was more important than his credibility. Helping his wife was the right thing to do, but the healthcare system in America is the reason JIM is in the fucked up situation he is in, and Moore proved that. That was Moore's motivation not the film in general.

um . does anyone else feel this guy is a douche?
-
who cares about "marketing", making moore look better blahblah..
CAN WE JUST STOP AND THINK ABOUT WHAT HAS HAPPENED?!
A MAN HATES ANOTHER MAN. AND WHEN IN TIMES OF TROUBLE HE HELPS HIM OUT.
HOW BEAUTIFUL IS THAT?! WHY ARE YOU RUINING IT AND MAKING IT UGLY AND MAKING US CHOSE SIDES?
everyone needs to get over their selves and DO SOMETHING NICE for someone. friend, or enemy.
think about it. xoxo.

You claim Moore's "anonymous cheque" story to be fabricated, and then you provide absolutely zero evidence to discredit the story.
Epic fail.
-
Who does this Maniac think he is. He probably thinks Michael Moore will send him a cheque as well. LOL
-
dude it doesnt matter how you put it. the pure and simple fact is that michael moore owns that guys ass. a person who still put their energy into hating him couldnt possibly be taken seriously when the the so called enemy helps pay for the wifes medical bills. and i dont think he knew who the contributor was either because he seemed so greatful. this jim guy is pathetic at best.
It's true that the movie did point out many of the problems in our healthcare system. The problem was towards the end of the film, Moore went back to his older tactics of lies and grotesque inaccuracies. That's what ends up discrediting his efforts. Of course, perhaps he felt he needed to do that for marketing purposes - to build controversy. It's hard to say.

part 3: All I'm saying is in my opinion, your video is irrelevant. Talk about how you feel about the health care system in America. Do you agree with the HMO's and what we have now or do you think we need a change???

to answer your questions khmer, just look through all the past comments and our past video on healthcare (also in the video response section)...

someone left a nice comment which we were about to reply to and hit remove by accident (ok - we concede that was our own dumb ARGH moment) - sorry about that and PLEASE repost your comment if you see this! :) it was about going to canada for a serious illness and being lucky to get the surgery you need in under a year, among other good points including criticizing Putin.

Moore made a film which expresses a belief that everyone should have access to affordable healthcare in the US, and his opinion of how that should be achieved. He also gave a specific American 12k to help pay a medical bill. If he uses the latter to promote for the former, how is that dishonest? Seemingly, both actions share the same motive: desire increase American access to medical care. Even if you dislike his specific suggestions on the subject, I see no contradiction or moral failing here.

no one's arguing that everyone should have access to affordable healthcare in the US. What is being argued is that Cuba or Canada or anyone else has found a better solution. And for those who say look at Medicaire, yeah, you're right - it's not half bad, except for one thing... it's going bankrupt just serving those who qualify for it.
