The seldom heard FULL version of WVU's fight song, Hail West Virginia.

You always see the full lyrics in your copy of Mountaineer Illustrated, but you never hear the music to the verse. The lyrics to the verse are:
Let's give a rah for West Virginia
And let us pledge to her anew,
Others may be black or crimson,
but for us it's Gold and Blue.
Let all our troubles be forgotten,
Let college spirit rule,
We'll join and give our loyal efforts
For the good of our old school.

i like when the song is playing it goes to a older verson with old mountianeer field an it swiches to the field of today and showed major harris

The Pride stopped playing this version round about 2000 or so I think. I have a CD of the 98 band and this is the version they played, on the 02 band cd the extended part (which is actually the verse to the song) was cut out. Bad call in my opinion. This is better and more fun to sing with.
