@Dflows333 Well first thing you need to do is Talk to the Dept. of Buildings! talk to a rep about your plans! you also might want to get a lawyer because most things are not iliiegal and are able to be build in chicago but the council is a bit picky about useing diffenernt methods of building things espeacially if one of their own has to go in their and might lose their lives! just build your case and present it to the council and try to persue them to vote your way!

Iam also interested in building a home like this in chicago, any tips on how you got the permits to build this way? I know in chicago this would go against all the building codes.
