Wow, Talk about names from the past! Sifu Garcia and his cousin I belive, his nickname"Gordo" used to train at Sifu Primicias class in L.A. On Virgil Ave back in 1974. I remember when Inside Kung Fu did an article on Sifu. In one of the photos you can see Sifu Garcia with his green sash, Its a black and white photo, but I remember the color sash he had attained. Too Cool.

That's funny! By your handle, framkprime, I'm guessing you could be Frank Jr. Am I right?

Master Frank Primicias was not only Gaspar's friend, but he was his sifu as well, and mine, too. Great memories there that bring tears to my eyes when I think back on those times.

@lemster2024 Thanks for the clarification. I forgot about Wee Gee and John Lem. It's been a long time since Sifu and my dad told me stories about back in the day. I only know a few of them.

@hightower6969 Frank was one of the first students at the Hung Sing school that Howard Lee and Wee Gee opened in Hollywood in 1968 or so (6017 Sunset Blvd.). The form he is performing in the video was taught to him by my dad, sifu John Lem, who took over the teaching duties of the school when Howard and Wee had to attend to other responsibilities.. Just fy and to set the record straight.

@sifufrank Sifu Primicias has learned some Lau Bun lineage under Sifu Howard Lee. He also furthered his training with GM Doc Fai Wong and another Sifu.

Were you there? or you just recognize the area?
But, yeah, i wasn't aware that he was once a disicple of Doc Fai Wong. Which makes him family to the Lau Bun lineage. Good Stuff!!

The form being demonstrated here is called the "defensive set" and the first half or so of "offensive set". Clearly not the the Chinese name for it, which escapes me for the moment. But if memory serves it was originally one set that Sigung broke in to two forms, defensive/offensive, for ease of teaching. I think it's a Doc Fai Wong set, but I'm not 100% on that.. I'll ask him.
