March 27, 1995 marked a sad day for the Clinton administration, and an uplifting day for clear-minded, right-thinking conservatives all across the fruited plain. Why? Because on that day, Rush Limbaugh the Television Show returned to the airwaves following one of the host's well-deserved working vacations. While Rush was gone, everything fell apart, and in his words, "everything that could be protested was protested by the single greatest collection of nincompoop and idiot-looking people I have ever seen."
In the show's first segment, we rolled idiotic, uninformed sound bite after idiotic, uninformed sound bite from the kinds of professional protesters that turn out whenever liberals want to peddle their pap. They protested in favor of inefficient, socialized colleges and in favor of ending the "war on children," and even in favor of Jesse Jackson. They protested against Pat Buchanan, against the "education war," and against American freedom.
But while these clips could've simply made your blood boil, Rush is always about optimism and pitying the feeble of intellect. He did so in this case by pointing out that one of these protesters had a sign spelled wrong! Folks, students are by definition people who need to learn, who need to be educated before they open their mouths. The media tends to treat them as pure of mind and sharp of wit, but they're not. They're just mouthing slogans and having a good time.
Just as you'll have a good time watching this classic Rush TV clip...
I don't know why, but watching all those clips strung together reminds me of the chaotic atmosphere in "Soylent Green."
