Το γελεκάκι που φορείς (the jacket you are wearing)
Εγώ στο 'χω ραμμένο (I have sewn it)
Με πίκρες και βάσανα (With bitterness and suffering)
Σ΄το ΄χω φοδραρισμένο (I have lined it)

Άιντε το μαλώνω, το μαλώνω (I am scolding it, scolding it)
Άιντε κι ύστερα το μετανοιώνω (and then I regret it)
Άιντε το μαλώνω και το βρίζω (I am scolding it and swear at it)
Άιντε την καρδούλα του ραγίζω (I break its little heart)

Φόρα το μωρό μου (Wear it my baby)
Φόρα το μικρό μου (Wear it my little one)
Γιατί δε θα το ξαναφορέσεις άλλο πια (Because you will never wear it again anymore)
Φόρα το για να ΄σαι (Wear it so that you are)
Για να με θυμάσαι (So that you remember me)
Για μετάξι έχω τα σγουρά σου τα μαλλιά (I have your curly hair as silk)

Άιντε το μαλώνω, το μαλώνω (I am scolding it, scolding it)
Άιντε κι ύστερα το μετανοιώνω (and then I regret it)
Άιντε το μαλώνω και το βρίζω (I am scolding it and swear at it)
Άιντε την καρδούλα του ραγίζω (I break its little heart)

Φόρα το μωρό μου (Wear it my baby)
Φόρα το μικρό μου (Wear it my little one)
Γιατί δε θα το ξαναφορέσεις άλλο πια (Because you will never wear it again)
Φόρα το για να ΄σαι (Wear it so that you are)
Για να με θυμάσαι (So that you remember me)
Για μετάξι έχω τα σγουρά σου τα μαλλιά (I have your curly hair as silk)

Άιντε Λευτέρη, πάμε για αγάπη, για ειρήνη και για φιλία (Come Lefteri, Let's go for love, for peace and for friendship)

Hayde,Haydi,or Ainte is an exclamation in both Greek and Turkish.Geia sou in Greek and Merhaba in Turkish mean ''Hi''..Both of buzuki and baglama are traditional music instruments of Turks and Greeks.Zeybek and sirtaki are traditional dances.Buyukada(Prinkipo) is the biggest of the Prince islands near Istanbul.

  • Being a German, knowing both Greece and Turkey very well (lived 10 years in Greece but spending weeks every year in Turkey as well, I must say - both countries are in my heart. My wish is: stop see Turkey as the bad guy -it is a lovely openminded country, faboulous people, culture and going straight forward. And anyway, as a German, Turkish people are our nearest friends, colleagues, and neighbours, always around and I want to pay a tribute to this people!

  • @smyrnae Danke friend...Comments from a different perspective,I mean you not being a Greek or Turk, are always oppurtunity for us to see the things better with an outer glance to the situation.Although Turks in Europe are the rotten eggs of Turkey differently from most of Turkish people in Turkey in a way,new generations growing there are improving and integrating to Europe.

  • Hey brothers! I'm searching for the lyrics of this song (included the Greece version). Please please and please again please ! :D Çok tessekur ettim! ;)

  • Of course you are always acting honourful with your army.... tell this to the 5000 civilians and POWs your regular army killed in Cyprus 1974... you are never able to stand to the many crimes you did, you always find excuses... I hate you for that!

  • NO TUREY AND GREECE

  • @dirtykeskin i dont disagree on that, but my point is that Iraqis could solve this alone...anyway goverments are always playing dirty games,we as people must be united and not hostile, and not fight for their profits, but for ours

  • @MrAbagaz

If there was no Turkey, now all those places you write where France, Britian, Terrortorys, and there would be a much more dirty army operations then now believe me brother. Peace

  • @dirtykeskin Every country is imperialist one way or another...every goverment tries to gain more territory for exploitation.ANd of course Turkey is an imperialist country....look your army operations in northern Iraq,in CYprus,in Imia..anyway people have nothing to divide but only to share..Peace to both sides of the Aegean

  • who was unlike ? armenians ?

  • Turk and Greek friendship. :))

  • @iSlash96 well i thought so
