short demo of the Dahon Speed TR 2007 model on my rollers- 24 speed folding bike.
first run has the crap dyno hub headlight activated. There are a bunch of excellent dyno lights out
there but this bike has the cheapest one available as stock equipment.
excellent all around bike. it will pass by the cruisers and some mountain bikes but the road bikes
take off and soon are out of sight. This is with 100psi comet road tires on it so it would probably be
considerably slower with the stock fat big apple low psi tires on it. I'm going to get a road bike as soon
as this one moves out of the house.
has your handlepost hinge snapped together with the brake surface rim failure hinge adjuster threads stripped out and like you say hub coil tap snapped all i have endured at 600 miles? Dahon takes biscuit offering no recall on the tr in the uk and no availability of self fit spares. I assume yours will soon be out of the house like mine.what a joke just try getting j,e james to answer their phone to ask for advice on what next ?In the skip !

I was fortunate enough to have no problems with this bike. subsequent to owning this one, I bought a used Speed
P8 and the local dahon dealer did the
handlebar stem hinge recall work immediately for free. I had to finish their work as they only tightened the 10mm allen bolt to the locktite inside so it came loose once i started riding it. cleaning out the locktite, i got the bolt to seat correctly and no more problems there. 34 ball bearings top and bottom in steering stem fyi
