@eaglibre I agree completely. I also say that if someone else were cast for House, it wouldn't have been the show it was and most likely wouldn't have lasted.

Apparently he spent the entire audition process using only his American accent - the director of House didn't realise he was actually a well-known British comedian until after he had been cast.

@DestinyWalker21 I agree that he plays this character very well. But when I first watched him in Blackadder, I thought he was born for that role as well. and thats the complete opposite of House! Thats the sign of a brilliant actor
