Thanks! The road-sweeping vehicle was dealing with mud on the road, left by some construction lorries (or, in American-English: trucks).

@wipandco Unless two cars show up at the same time. Then the person on the right goes first.

@Bryant5493 Yeah in Europe we have an extra driving rule, "yield to traffic coming from your right (left in the UK, I guess)", that is replaced by the "first arrived, first to go" rule in the US.

I'd prefer these to the typical American intersection, except folks in the U.S. don't know what yield means. :-(
