These are some great metal songs that most people probably never heard about.

I am only doing this to show these artists to a broader audience.
I'm not going to send any digital audio files to anyone, so don't bother asking.

Sorry for the audio quality (or lack of) of the songs that come from a vinyl media. My turntable sucks, and so does my pre-amplifier :P

The song listing is as followed:

-"Winter in June" by Kiuas on "Winter in June" (and the japanese version of "The Spirit of Ukko")

-"The Last Breath of Man" by The Funeral Pyre on "The Third Book of the Kings" 7" split with Leech

-"Between the Secrets" by Asgaut on "Village"

-"Dance of the Tender Leaves" by Thanatoschizo on "Insomnious Night Lift"

-"Gateway to the Starlight Kingdom" by Potentiam on "Orka I Myrkri"

-"Scars of the Shattered Sky" by Agalloch on "Ashes Against the Grain (2xLP edition)"

-"Flesh Cycles" by Eternal Gray on "Kindless"

-"La Mer des Incompris" by Obscurcis Romancia on "Obscurcis Romancia"

-"Tapestry of the Starless Abstract" by Ne Obliviscaris on "The Aurora Veil"

-"Sutter's Fort" by Giant Squid on "Sutter's Fort/The West" split with Grayceon

I am aware that the genres I specified may not be perfectly precise and may not represent exactly the sound of the bands, but I tried to be as accurate as I can.

I hope you enjoy this compilation!

Part 4 may come eventually...

  • ok almost all bands are underground , less known bands but :S why Agalloch ? Man they're well known ..

  • The title of the video isn't lesser known bands, it's lesser known SONGS. Scars of the Shattered Sky is a pretty hard song to get considering there's less than 1000 people who own Ashes Against the Grain on vinyl.

  • Funeral pyre sounds more like thrash than melodic death.. If you want melodic death check Insomnium..

  • Well, I think the audio quality may give the impression that this is thrashier than it really is. It's on vinyl and my material is old and used. If you listen to the whole song, it's definitely melodic, though the vocals are somewhere between black and death.

Between, I love Insomnium. Above the Weeping World is fantastic. I've seen them live and they're great!

  • ThanatoSchizO

    They rule, new album out!

Check it cause it sounds fantastic!

    =D

  • I bought it last week.

I listened to the first couple of songs and it's pretty different than their past material. SOunds good though!

  • Thanatoschizo, Agalloch's "lost song" Scars, and the godly Ne Obliviscaris all on one video??? I'm not worthy of such epicness!
