Leif Segerstam, reloco director/compositor nacido en 1944. Es tambien conocido por hacer un uso muy peculiar de las instrucciones en sus ensayos. Ejemplos:

El sorprendente subtítulo de esta sinfónía (!la no. 151 de 230 compuestas hasta el momento!) es "Challenging the risks with Molto "FLU-ENTE", largamente grandioso... al...". Segerstam ostenta el record de ser el compositor que más sinfonías haya compuesto nunca. Curiosamente sus sinfonías siempre duran lo mismo (alrededor de 25 minutos). Además, Segerstam ha ideado su propio estilo, definido como de "pulsación libre" en el cual "eventos musicales" pueden interactuar de forma flexible a través del tiempo.

Sospecho que llegará el día en que se haga una integral de la música sinfónica de Segerstam.

Yo lo vi el noviembre pasado dirigiendo a la Filarmónica de Helsinki la Sinfonía n.2 de Sibelius. Es un espectáculo impresionante.
