Christian Bullshit: Underhanded Propaganda

Why my Facebook feed must be inundated with bullshit about Jesus on a daily basis is beyond me, but usually easy to ignore. Today, not so much. The following pile of dog shit stunk up my inbox so bad, I just had to respond...

And yes, this particular bullshit came from a Jew acquaintance, but in all fairness I get this kind of crap from christians 50 times for every time I get it from Jews, and furthermore, the guys kinda an idiot, and Im sure he reposted it from some christian friend of his without having really thought it through.

"LOVE VS SEX . . A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe ...from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he was waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her." Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. Did you know that 98% of teenagers will not stand up for God? Repost this as Love vs. Sex if you truly believe in God. PS: God is always there in your heart and loves you no matter what and if you stand up for him he will stand up for you. I bet 93% of the people that read this wont repost it. I read this and reposted it. I'll be honest TA I don't care for this stuff myself. I agree it's emotive without grounding.

However , you guys come off like such Anti- Christian not Anti - Religious haters with vids like this.

I watch stuff like this and can't help but think if the title was Islamic BS propaganda instead, not only would the YT Atheist flash mob not mindlessly salivate, but you'd be knee-deep in another " didn't tow the PC atheist line" scandal.

@TheAtheistAntidote Well just so happens that Im both Anti-christian AND anti-religious, so Im quite ok with both those labels. If the title were Islamic BS, I know exactly what Id be dealing with: A lot more views, a couple of benign death threats, and a bit more "blind defense of the brethren" attitude. You know how I know this? Because Ive done it. The vid is called "Islam Sucks Too". The reason I dont have a series for it is because muslims far more frequently keep their BS to themselves.

@TheAtheistAntidote Amazingly enough, despite the numerous Muslim friends I have on Facebook, its EXTREMELY rare that they make any mention of Allah, let alone on a daily basis...and when they do, its not proselytizing: Its personal thanks, its talking to one another, and that sort of thing. Even here on youtube, its rare that a Muslim tries to convert me--although I will admit more than any other commentary from Muslims, I get the "allah will ensure you burn in hell" BS.

Haha....this story is as old as I am...it's an urban legend that refuses to die. Really, I heard this in 1962.*God is Moving*??? Really? The underacheiver in the sky still ignores millions of starving infants in 3rd world....when he magically keeps all of them fed and comes out of retirement, I might consider their *evidence*. Whoops! That's right, there is none.

I'll bet 97% of christians believe because they are afraid to go to hell if they don't.

There's a touch of this "without a god you're screwed" attitude in the recent movie, "Soul Surfer". The main character is a surfer who decides not to attend a religious charity event. A shark bites off her left arm.

Christianity, as you like to point out ourself is the largest religion in America by a 4-1 margin, so people who live in America are 4x as likely to hear Christian bs, and 4x as many responses will beabout or against Christianity.

it's a fact of numbers, not a fact of "having it out for Christians" above any other religion.
