is there any diffrence between diatonic modes and regular or are all modes diatonic?

Dorian: 2:16

Phrygian: 2:55

Lydian: 3:35

Mixolydian: 4:35

Aeolian: 5:30

Locrian: 6:18

Can somebody help me? He shows the first position for all the scales, 5 position/ 3 note per string 7 position style, but how can you work out the other positions from watching this video? Thanks
