In this tutorial, I respond to a viewer who has a problem: He receives a monthly main-frame computer generated report that is difficult to manipulate. The field headers - AND each record are reported on two lines with a blank row separating each record.

In order to work with this data - to produce intelligent reports - he has relied on "cut and paste" and delete rows. He has asked me to help him to minimize this drudgery each month.

I suggest that he learns how to record a simple MACRO in Excel to minimize this monthly chore.

Watch, as I demonstrate how to record, edit and step-into each step in the Macro process - First, in Excel 2010 and then in Excel 2003.

I invite you to visit my website - www.thecompanyrocks.com - to view this and all of my video tutorials. In addition, I offer many resources that you can view and download.

  • I have only recently found these tutorials and this is the first time this function, and others, have been explained so simply and so well. I am a Rocks convert. Thanks Danny.
