Mark Kermode is clearly a hipster who wants nothing to do with what is successful. Hence the paltry amount of views his channel gets.
Grow up.. 3D has it's place.

does this work?

@Fa6ade You can tell a 3D movie is going to be terrible because it is in 3D.

You can tell if a 3D movie is going to be terrible if it has 3D in the title.

The industry seems to be getting behind Kermode on this even if they're not being outspoken about it. Heard of Hugo, the 3D Scorsese film? Apparantly he was bribed by the studios to make a 3D film which didn't rely on the gimmickery of 3D to make the film enjoyable. What else will that man do for a lifes supply of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes...?

@DurasDrum You're overconfident about the value of your opinions. It's better to say nothing until you achieve some self-awareness and realise your own limitations.

@ToneSpectra That, and the actual concept of 3D. It's absolutely ridiculous. The only movie I thought used 3D properly was Jackass 3D, but that was only because of the 3D dildos coming my way. Other than that, I'll stick to 2D, thank you very much.
Also good job commenting on a 1 year old comment. :X
3D is fucking ridiculous. I find myself always shifting my glasses to see what the movie looks without them. It distracts from the actual plot of the movie. Doesn't help that I already wear glasses, and wearing glasses over glasses feels and looks silly.
Fuck 3D.

Filmmaker should be able to achieve totally immersed in a film by using good plot, dialogue, character development, and cinematography. 3D is the last bastion of the talentless.
