I just did 1080 miles on the at.. I just found out the mountains to sea trail goes right near my house and now I want to hike that even though most of its on the road

@jliam75 There is a guy who has hiked it 2 or 3 times who wrote a book on the trail. His trail name is Taba.His name is Scott Ward. I did a mail drop for him once. He's a professional hiker.

I went by Stone Mtn (NC State Park) today and walked a little on the MST. It's snow covered and there were no tracks in the snow except for a deer tracks and some "paw" tracks. Beautiful area...cold...but beautiful!

Well... there have only been 13 people who have thruhiked the trail (myself excluded of course). I think most (if not all) of them road-walked.

Most of the mountain and coastal sections are continuous, but there are a lot of gaps in the Piedmont... it's part of the adventure - I rode a bicycle through that portion
