In Nov 2000, just about 2 years before a market bottom, Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser celebrated 30 years of the show at Carnegie Hall, New York, with a large audience. Louis' special guests included what later became some of the most controversial figures on Wall Street -- Citibank CEO Sanford Weill, Dick Grasso, and SEC Chairman Arthur Levitt. They applauded deregulation, free trade, and public participation in the market.
