Charlotte Area Transit System #546

On the 77X line.

For the fans of "backfiring", brace yourselves! This bus definitely did a lot of backfire (especially around 3:14)! If you ever decide to hit up Charlotte, I STRONGLY recommend catching one of these. The 65X or 77X are PERFECT for these buses!

This is a Gillig Phantom with a Detroit Diesel S50-EGR engine and Allison B400R transmission.

NOTE: The Gilligs in the CATS fleet use Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel. The MCIs (501-510) and NovaBus LFS (799-914) do not use that fuel.
