If the Republican Party is gone. Who were all of those people that launched a killer bloodbath on the Nancy Pelosi House and came pretty close to taking the Senate majority in 2010. Those weren't "cloth coat Republicans," those were a product of two long hot summers of Tea Party anger and discontent. It doesn't seem like it is over either. Traditional Demos and Republicans are history.

I believe in Republican values. NOT neocon pro Israli lobbyist posing as Republican senators. Which is exactly what we have now besides a very select few. Hell even Ron Paul's son is an Israli sympathizer and a corrupt senator. WE ARE FUCKED. Welcome to the United Nations of Ismarica!!!.

The party of "no."

He's a bit over the top, but so are these "teabaggers."

Hmm he forgot to mention the republican winning in NJ, an overwhelmingly LIBERAL state. And on top of that, skozzafova was a liberal, she just ran as a conservative. Anyone who takes 2 seconds to look at her policy will see that.

Someone really needs to get Gil a teleprompter.

Fact, the 23rd district has a Dem in it in 1993. Redistricting, my friend.
Question, if moderates that didn't want to vote Dem is not offered Dem-light, they won't go Dem. If they wanted to vote Dem, they would have anyway. So, nothing changes.
Odd that it's okay for Dems. to threaten canidates who aren't "liberal enough' and kick them out of the party... but woe is the GOP voter who wants a choice (isn't Dems. the party of choice?). You get kicked out of the Dem.s for siding with the GOP

Isn't this a bit of falty logic? If GOP falls apart for not nominating those who aren't "consevative enough" and helps the Dems., why hasn't the Dems. fallen apart for doing the same to those who aren't "socialist enough", a prerequisite of being a Dem. nowadays?
As for the 23rd, the GOP was a RHINO, meaning Dem., but when you add the votes, the anti-Dems. got more than 50% and the conservative still might win in a recount.

I'm not sure that America is moving strongly to the left. I think it is just getting back to normal, after eight years of G.W. the country is realizing; that we are a center (sometimes left of, sometimes right of center.) country; politically speaking. We will continue to progress but fundamental Right-Wing principles e.g., strong stance on gun rights, low taxes, small government, and flavor of the month christians ideals are always going to be with us along with the far right loons.
This is not about "winning some seats". The Republicans are wiping themselves off the map by refusing to appeal to moderate Americans.

Hate to say it....but "Republican" does not equate to "repukes/neocons/rightwing-wingnut" of today.
Dwight Eisenhower was the LAST true Republican...and he gave warning to the party that simply ignored it and went on a rampage of turning American and middle class into "corporate America and the growing poor". Nice going!
You even got Clinton to join in the dance and passed your dirty work of NAFTA....the jobs are gone. Profits are up. The Republican Party, the GOP, is NO MORE.
