Just got one of these today, cash for clunkers. Knocking off 8000 from the price really is irresistable. Got the 26E package which has power everything. It's like my old Merc Mountaineer, only smaller. It feels good to finally have a Jeep. There are so many nice little features like roll bars, traction control, ESP and God knows what. Very solid little car but man the transmission takes some getting used to. Gears are so 20th century :)

I was about to purchase a Jeep Patriot myself. After talking to a lot of people who had different kinds of Jeep vehicles I was basically told tat Jeep is ok but there is always minor problems ALL THE TIME!!!!!. I don't know if this is true but I ended up purchasing a 2004 subaru forrester instead of a2009 Patriot. I can't say I regret it except that the engine on the subaru is quite "dead" compared to the Jeep ;) - Also the subaru quite impressive off road. Perhaps not as good as a 4wd lock jeep

hey im thinking of getting the patriot as a first car and was wondering what ppl think about this jeep.. how does it handel ? hows it off the road? and hows the safety?

ANY dealer if you talk to them will find one for you and get it im sure of that! Just talk to them tell them what you want and they will have one on that lot in a week im sure of it! Please dont get an altima!!! I love my JEEP PATRIOT

Seriously, I have been looking for a 2009 Jeep Patriot that has Freedom Drive II but have come up blank in everysingle dealer!!! I cant believe that no dealer has one, It was between this and a nissan altima... I really wanted the Jeep but i guess not...
