Big things come in small packages—really small in this case. Come see what happens when you try and pack scanned charts, approach plates and more into a portable GPS that's about the size of a deck of cards.

  • Prices are much lower than what they say in this video. I got the Quadra Max with sectional charts for $399. It works great.

  • Been a month after they have received my defective device. Have not credited my account. Be careful with these guys.

  • Sent my back today. Came without the aviation software loaded. Support phone number does not work - use the live chat. Online support a nightmare. Useless device with a lot of promise

  • I've been using the Quadra for over a year now in my C172 and really love it. It works as advertised and the only complaint I really have is that as of now, the street mapping database is not downloadable - you need to purchase a new SD card to get the latest street maps, no biggie. Tech support has always been helpful. Reading the online support, there are some complaints about the product generally but I would recommend it. Updateable software means it can only get better.

  • That's funny. I just finished a 1,000 mile trip with a Quadra and it's the fastest, slickest map yet from Control Vision. The touch-screen is intuitive, the sectionals are there when you want 'em and not when you don't . Could they make some changes? Sure, no one's perfect. But this is so much more of a pilot's flying appliance than anything else I've used. Quit whining or the Angel of Justice will put an AV8OR under your pillow.

  • ejectr, I could not agree with you more. I have also given up on Anywhere Map and selected ForeFlight Mobile HD running on the iPad as a replacement. A much faster & more elegant solution with EXCELLENT technical support.

  • I have a Quadra and it is rife with software issues. Not worth the money in any estimation. Long time users of their products, like me, have had it with being their R&D lab. You don't do your development work on customers time or customer's dime. They also banned me from their forum board, which incidently can only be used by current owners of their products. Probably so the public can't see all the complaints that are on the forum. Especially about the Quadra.

    DO NOT get a Quadra!!!!!!!

  • I find it funny how they decided to test the portable gps on a G1000 equipped aircraft. I find that ridiculous to be honest. If you get lost with the G1000, you should give up, throw your license away and kill yourself for you have failed at life.
