Mother Clare Watts talks about the urgent need for people to be active and voice their desire for health care for all. She speaks about President Obama's health care package, how it helps everyone, and what you can do to help make it happen.
How do you know corporations spent millions on TV ads to put missinformaiton? Have you seen these ads? I haven't. Obcene profits? Could you please site your sources? The largest healthcare systems are actually non-profit. Kaiser Permanente is non-proffit. 65% of Blue plans are not-for-proffit. Hospital systems like Catholic Healthcare west and Methodist are non-proffit. I call your statements to question because rhetoric like the ones you use cause more damage than help.
IT is true that neglect of routine care fills our emergency rooms, ICUs and acute care beds. Our prejudice forces people who would live longer in their communities and families when they are aged and disabled than in mass situations where medicare, in most cases, could stimulate
local communities by paying for care at home, and allowing people who need care to get it from people who they choose and are comfortable with.
Thanks for having the courage to address this issue. I also feel that a holistic spirituality engages itself practically in the public arena. And nothing right now is more important than caring for one another when family and friends are sick. To that end, anyone who is on Facebook should enter the following name in the search box: Pass The President's Healthcare Plan! We are a growing group of citizens located nationwide who are using Facebook as a medium to speak out. :)
I hope that one day all people regardless of their station in life or their job can get QUALITY healthcare for themselves. Having said that, I feel I must express concern for the FATALLY FLAWED way that our healthcare system treats different sicknesses and conditions. There is not room enough in this comment box to explain how subtly greed and selfishness can manifest in our society and in our government; especially when we have such a likeable and charismatic president.
The increased efficiencies will be great for the industry.
Tort reform is needed in regards to malpractice suits to bring down costs for the doctors, fairness to both patients and doctors is important.
This national plan faces adverse selection as a risk to low prices.
I have some Canadian friends and they do not like their system up there, and I also near complaints form the British. I pray that the people that implement this in the US have wisdom and enlightened contentiousness.
