  • Impressionanate !!!!!!

  • @donaldcallen it' is Prokofiev himself playing and the second movement is in the description

  • And while I'm grateful to the people who upload treasures like this, it would be good if you would do the whole job and include *all* the information about who is performing, e.g., not just the soloist in a concerto.

There are a number of uploads on youtube of orchestral works, with absolutely no information about who the conductor and/or orchestra is. Some of these performances are wonderful and we'd like to know who is responsible for them.

  • @Ir77iridium Google is your friend. I'll do the work for you this time: "Prokofiev himself made the first recording of the Piano Concerto No. 3 in June 1932 with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Piero Coppola."

  • This concerto used to annoy me, but I'm starting to enjoy it a lot! It's a wonderful piece of music! Prokofiev was great.

  • Wow! His version is so much slower than all the performances I've heard before =) It definitely brings out some interesting writing in the orchestra because the piano is not so overpowering as many of the modern interpretations. Still, I think Proko would have wanted to listen to Argerich to realize just what an amazing piece of music he actually wrote =)

  • Who is the orchestra? What year was it recorded? The fidelity is really amazing!!! Also, not so fast as some modern performances.

  • Thank God (and thank you very much for uploading theoshow2)!

I am really happy to listen his own interpretation. This ist one of my favorit piano concertos.

  • This is how it's done. Finally, this concerto sounds much better. I was wondering why I never liked this concerto

  • Esto una joya !
