33% of teen girls said "I know that if people saw me before I fixed myself up they wouldn't like me." I have believed this lie before. But, God's truth has now set me free (John 8:32) and I am now taking a stand for true beauty. I don't believe that women should wear no make-up at all, I'm just posing the question....what lies do we believe about how we look and how can we replace it with God's truth?

  • I have never worn makeup in my entire life, and I never will. I'm currently 19 years old.

To me, makeup is a lie. It's artificial "beauty." I don't get what the point of being "pretty" is if it's not real. Fortunately, I find myself attractive without it (and others say so, too!). People (mostly women) are conditioned that they need to doll themselves up to be considered beautiful. What an unfortunate thing, indeed.

  • Finally! we need more people to post up stuff like this.

  • I would single out fashion related product pushers and their marketing tactics as the main culprits because that's who benifits from the delusion. Follow the money.

We MUST teach our (boys and girls) the difference between external validation and true self confidence. Most importantly, we must help them to consciously build self esteem by accomplishing difficult tasks, setting and meeting goals, and coping with failures. Girls, beauty is less about looks, and more about confidence. IT"S TRUE!

  • I agree with your sentiments on this issue. As a makeup artist, I believe it is a matter of choice and we as women have to take a stand to be who we want to be. Makeup artistry is an artistic expression of self. It should never be a camouflage for insecurity! Please take a look at my video that I made about my feelings about makeup. I'm not wearing any in this video.

  • Why are you waiting here online Naughty woman mworld5.info

  • Aww, your husband loves you with or without makeup! NICEEE. :D

  • I've worn makeup since the 8th grade and I'm now a sophmore in college. Two weeks ago I had an allergic reaction to my makeup so I stopped wearing all of it [well, besides mascara and chapstic/lipgloss] and I've been asked out by more guys these past two weeks than the past 19 years of my life.

    Thanks for nothing makeup <.<

  • praise God !!!

  • i dont wear make at ALL, its like false advertisment its fake not the real you. ty for this video really makes me happy

  • You're so well spoken. I will subscribe! :)

  • I love it! You are so right, my husband gets mad at me putting on makeup for ages before we go out....he says I don't look any different and it is a waste of time. I like makeup sometimes but I have noticed that when 'pretty' people behave in an unattractive way you really stop seeing the pretty and their personality overrides whatever you thought you saw before you knew them. It seems so cliche but it is 'who' you are that people like or dislike. Beauty is more than looks. You rock.

  • Right On sister!
