this is what i think they say:
FF1:great foe but you have the valor to face it
FF2: feels more like here is a worthy match for your strength
FF3:powerful being we must defeat and we won't back down
FF4:stand up to the great evil we now face
FF5:big foe whose power seems to be limitless but able to be defeated
FF6:powerful foe whose full power we have yet to realize but can overcome
FF7:stand your ground and show them the power you hold

@mitche110 IMHO best FF is 7th, then comes 6th, 8th and 4th.

the best ones are:
FF8 boss theme which i think one of the best of all RPG boss themes.
FF7 - speedy and has plenty of energy in. But not so powerfull
FF4 - now this one has really powerfull drive in it. You can't sit still when you fight a boss with this one.
FF2 - great beginning... nothing more
FF6 - best of all FF boss themes, powerfull yet melodical, you clearly know you fight no ordinary foe.
