  • @oddysseuss Wow... let's start:

    1) I'm not judging Karl Marx. I'm just speaking about streets named after him. I don't agree with socialism or communism, but that's beside the point.

    2) It's like so! Zoom Google Earth in Germany, search for Karl-Marx-Strasse, and it'll point to streets in the former East Germany

    3) There's not a Karl-Marx-Strasse in Chemnitz (former Karl-Marx-Stadt), and his huge head is still in the main square!

    4) See #2

    5) See #2

    6) See #2

    7) There you have it.

  • Sorry for my bad English.

  • @cal0815 4. Although you could, quotation "find the answer pretty quickly", you haven't in fact checked if there are streets named after Karl Marx in former west Germany.

    5. You haven't even checked if there is a Karl Marx Strasse in Trier. There is. As well as there are such streets in numerous other cities and towns and villages in former West Germany.

    6. When you checked if there are such streets, you searched for "Karl Marx STREET" or Charles Marx Street, haven't you?:) 7. There you have it

  • @cal0815 3. You totally ignored the fact, that if the name of Karl Marx was inappropriate they would long ago rename the streets. So it is false to think that because today there is a street named after him in a town, this town is in former east germany, because they would have renamed it by now, if it was something bad. You probably aren't aware of the re-naming frenzy that occured in communist states after they fell.

  • @cal0815 With pleasure, my dear friend: 1. You, as well as the gentleman in the video, wrongly suppose, that the name of Karl Marx is in some way inappropriate, probably because he was the father of the communist idea. But he was also the father of the socialist movement as a whole and a great thinker. It is not wrong, that a street is named after him.

    2. You thought, that only in east germany streets were named after him.

  • @oddysseuss Dude, not even in Trier, where's he was born, is a street named after him. Also, can you actually point the errors???

  • @cal0815 I'm sorry, but there are so many errors in that one sentence you wrote, that I can't even name and count them all... Excuse me, but do you even know who Marx was?

  • @oddysseuss OK, let's count how many streets in the former West Germany are named Karl-Marx-Strasse... you'll find the answer pretty quickly.

  • So because a street is named after Karl Marx, this town was once east germany? Whats that supposed to mean?

  • I LOVE THE FRUGAL TRAVELER!
