15,000 is the number of paid dues members of the party as of 2009. There are obviously many more people registered to vote as Libertarian.. however the Party does not appear to be doing a great job at getting all those people active.

yea you're making good points, your numbers are off though, you don't need 20 million to win house seats, its more like a million in many cases, anyway yea the libertarian party up to now has been all about the principles, now it has to become a machine to make the principles work through elections, so yea its all about continuing to develop and sustain the principles while turning on the machine....

exactly. people want to run before they walk here in America, but when i suggest those positions i get shooed away. So i made this video of the reality of what a campaign is for. Sure you don't need that much money, but you better have close to it, to be even considered as a real candidate.
thanks for helping me with my government project man

The LP has a lot of work to do. There are only about 15,000 Libertarians in the WHOLE country.. yeah.
the National LP budget is not even half a million, don't even mention what the state LP organizations rake in. So no we will never be able to compete money wise.. I completely agree that we do not do a good job at making the case that we are a viable 3rd party with ideals that are not "crazy radical".

@JustaLibertarian 15,000? there's gotta be more than that. or do you mean registered. I cant' "register" libertarian. or at least when i signed up my affiliation it was no available. only "independent" was available. and when the duet has their primaries, and they mention on t.v. "you'll be receiving your primary tickets in the mail" of course I get nothing.
The good old duet, making sure there's not a 3rd voice.

@spmandmtgr it's not that they think pot smoking is ok. it gets down to the core and corruption of politics. pot was illegalized not because of pot smoking, but because businesses didn't want the competition, so they made it illegal. this is politics as usual these days, buy a politician to help your business. completely unconstitutional.
