  • I'm not a supporter of Greenpeace due to corruption and Carbon-Tax advocacy but I'm right behind them on GMO's.

GMO's are terrorism and must be stopped.

  • Your video suggests "GM has prevented weight gain in mice and damaged rat livers and kidneys". If you need to simply your argument this much so as to consider that "GM" is a single, scary monster, despite the cornicopia of real, peer-reviewed data that refutes these claims, then you simply aren't on top of the science enough to warrant commenting on this trial, let alone deciding you you are sole arbitrator of it's worth.

  • @natija08 The destruction of something to achieve a political goal and scare people to behave a certain way is terrorism. Greenpeace, rather than discuss honestly, destroyed and lied about a GM wheat field in Australia to achieve a political goal and scare people to behave a certain way. So what is that?

You are entitled to your own opinion about GMOs but not your own facts, and the fact is they don't harm people or the environment. Monsanto was not involved here so they are a non sequitor

  • @Zhavlon

Greenpeace activists are racists and terrorists? They use vandalism?

You may have another opinion about GMOs, but you shouldn't use those insults, if you want to discuss honestly.

In my opinion GMOs harm people and environment.

Monsanto & Co. are only interested in their profits. They do their best to make the farmers dependent on their seed and their poisons like "Roundup".

  • @RHarris91 And I'm sure that's great work both for the forest and the people, but I highly doubt they're there for the latter. If they had to make a call between the two, look at GM crops & DDT to see which they choose, not that GMOs hurt the environment.. Note that malnutrition & malaria are largely problems of poor developing nations. What a coincidence that they do not deserve to live hunger & malaria free thanks to the technology that enables your averages Greenpeace activist to live so well

  • @Zhavlon Interesting strategy trying to brand Greenpeace as racist. That must be why they work in countries like Malaysia and Papua New Guinea fighting for the rights of people whose land and livelihood are being destroyed by illegal logging, then train the locals with the skills for environmentally sustainable industry, rather than held to ransom by big multi-nationals.

  • Hey Greenpeace, what ever happened to your other video, you know, the one where Heather McCabe talks about what she did? Oh I see, accuse CSIRO of hiding information, then cover up your own video whenever it becomes inconvenient. Hypocrites. Then again, what would you expect from people who think they should be well fed thanks to modern agricultural science but to hell with all those brown people in Africa and Asia who desperately need GM crops like Golden Rice and BioCassava.

  • @natija08 Perhaps one who is mad because his work has been destroyed by lying ignorant science hating racist eco-terrorists like Greenpeace? Using vandalism instead of rational arguments tends to get that reaction from people. Not the best reaction of course, scientists should work to educate even loony luddites like Greenpeace, but if someone burned your house down because they claimed it was haunted by mean fairies (or something equally dumb) how would you feel about debating about fairies?

  • @Glable24

You say you are a scientist. What kind of scientist would tell others to "shut up"? An evil scientist who wants to play God?

  • @robshepherd

Monsanto & Co only want to make big business. They have their political "friends" in the governments who want to push their products. But we, the people, don't want to eat GM-food.

Monsanto & Co destroy the small farmers and their adapted seeds. We, the people, don't like our soils poisoned with "Round up" and other poisons.

Biodiversity is very important for the life of our planet. If one day we have only a few Monsanto-seeds this will be very bad. Try to understand ecology.

  • not my prob now im wheat intol and dairy and soy now =\ fml

  • @musica2fashion ...continued from previous reply ....have a huge stake in maintaining the status quo and keeping wheat cheap and durable for mass sale. Its all about money as usual. If all of a sudden people changed their diets, none of this would be an issue, its just that people love their cheap daily bread. Anyway, I suspect much of the GM wheat will be fed to cows for meat and also shipped overseas dollars for the government.
