One of the most poignant sequences from Korngold's magnificent score to the film KINGS ROW, conducted here by the composer. The exquisite Grandmother theme (complete with violin and cello obligato) is succeeded by a scene between Parris and Drake in the orchard before ending with the sombre theme for Dr Tower. The score was not even nominated for an Oscar - one of the greatest examples of how the Academy could overlook its greatest.
