@alxxz Yes it is a Castlevania Game. It's the first in the series actually (plot wise, not chronological order) haha yeah your comment is two years old and I replied to hahah.
@alxxz Lament of Innocence is somewhat linear without a lot of exploration. GoW is superior combat wise, but I'd say it holds some of the "Castlevania feel" to some extent. I enjoyed the story a lot, but I'd rather play Curse of Darkness than this one. If you're a CV fan, you should try to get your hands on this game if you haven't already, despite the repetitive combat system.
@alxxz It's semi-liner, There is exploration elements, but not as much as the 2D games in the series. You can revisit areas with your new abilities, pick up secret items, a lot of hidden areas to find, but all in all it's kind of a beat the boss of every area, get to the final part of the Castle, learn the true origins of Castlevania etc. Still it's a good game to have in your collection if you enjoy the other games in the series, in the timeline it's the first and the story is pretty good.
So, is Lament of Innocence a small & linear game? Or is it long, non-linear like Symphony of the NIght with a lot of exploration & secrets to be solved?
I can’t say I liked GOW, so if this the same deal, I think I’ll pass…
And most importantly is this actually a “CastleVania” game?
