In this webisode I discuss why Microsoft is too late entering the game to take on iOS and Android directly. I give my opinion on what Microsoft needs to do in order to be relevant in todays' rapidly changing smartphone world!

  • One more comment: Your curtains are hideous.

  • @tuscaniman25

I completely agree! We moved in to the place with those curtains and haven't found new ones for that window yet, but my next step is either buying a background or buying new curtains!

  • It is true that people are reluctant to change. However MS maybe just need to change the name Windows and sales will be much better. People just don't want the name. If for example MS changed the name for example Mango it would make people curious to see what it is. Now they are scared of Windows name. I did change from android to WP a month ago and love it. it is very fluid OS. Highly recommend it.

You make good points! I completely agree that people are likely scared off by the Microsoft name, especially after the Windows Mobile era disaster. Unfortunately most people are stuck to either iOS or Android and aren't open minded enough to give another OS a try! Thanks for watching!

  • I agree with you 100%. Wp7 is very polished and updates are on par with ios but it doesn't offer anything new. And there is no customization. They say it will change with Nokia but we will see

  • @fourdoormafia

I believe that iOS users would be the most apt to go to WP7, because it is a polished OS that's very similar to iOS. Microsoft took a huge step up with the Mango update and I agree, they're on par with iOS now. I'm on the fence about customization changing with Nokia also, I've heard quite a few rumors but I haven't actually seen anything yet. I guess we'll see! Thanks for watching!

  • I switched from iOS and I know other wanting to switch. I'm going to be pushing them towards Mango. I disagree with your statement saying the market is saturdated. Smartphone have only been out for 4 years. There are still millions, possibly billions of people who don't use or have a smartphone. Its only just beginning.

  • I just purchased a Samsung Focus S. I love Mango and I don't see myself going back to iOS.

  • Windows Phone is geared to current smartphone users its geared towards firsttime smartphone users. that market is very big even bigger than those who currently have a smartphone.
