City folk is the easiest animal crossing to catch a scorpion/tarantula.
Try wild world for a challenge.

I just try not to scare them and wait for them to turn away from me. Then I take out my net, jog towards them, and catch the buggers! Of course, it's the same with tarantulas.

I caught my first Tarantula next the bus stop. I was on the bus stop and I caught it while it was down:D

i saw one near the bus stop.
got on the bus stop and pulled out my net with the scorpion facing me.
he ran up to the wall and i got him with my net.

It has to be from 8 pm to 4 am and it has to be in July, August or September. Any day will work.
