  • The jackass said "CRT tubes"

Yeah, Cathode Ray Tube tubes? Well, why don't you go insert your PIN number in that ATM machine?

  • What happens to the plastic case?

  • Yes, phosphor is an emit material, usually white coat, found behind the screen, you can see the flosencent light in the kitchen light, it contains phosphor... Pity that guy didnt use a protective glove to pick up those broken screens. Thought the phosphor was removed before breaking the glass? Germany and Japan do that.

  • I'm glad to see they were wearing protective gear but I'm really surprised to see they let him grab a piece of broken TV screen. The glass he was holding in his bare hand contains lead and the screen is coated on the inside with a silvery toxic substance called phosphor. Be safe and wear gloves if you need to handle broken TV screens.
