Hey youtube, this is my female lined leaf tail gecko. She is about 10.5 inches long, and changes colour like a chameleon. She lives with a male who i plan to breed. The tank is composed of:

1.exo-terra 18x18x24 inch vivarium
2. A few jungle vines
3. Peace lilly
4. Bromeliads
5. Palm
6. Jewel orchid
7. Rock background
8. uva/uvb light

I have had her for a little under a year, and her tank looks completely different now however i wasnt able to record a recent one of her present setup because my camera was stolen. The changes were the removal of the prayer plant (red and white)and the addition of some drift wood. I am expecting offspring within the next 5 months. Enjoy and don't hesitate to ask any questions!

  • The next day...the reptile died

  • I actually sold this reptile 4 months later to a private collector who managed to breed her.

  • Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been around lately. These are nocturnal geckos, but i have handled them in the past. NEVER grab the gecko by the tail, but let it climb onto your hand, and let him do what he wants. I would let him climb a desk, wall etc, but would never hold him in my hand like a toy. They bite, and it hurts like a bitch. I never drew blood, but they have BIG jaws, as this is a 12 inch species to begin with. I currently own one vivarium with dart frogs. I will post a video soon :)

  • I've had a white lined gecko for over a year now and the lady at the pet shop told me they were hard to handle, angry, and needs a good bit of care. not necessarily true. mine is very tame once he's out of the cage. not hard at all to take care of ive feed him local butterflies and big moths and he loves them he's also friendly to about 3 other lizards.

  • Sweet!!

Make sure he doesnt eat the other lizards...i have heard some lineatus munch on day geckos.

  • am i the only onw who noticed the guy in the backgrund at 0:34 lol

  • If you loved reptiles why would you incarcerate them in a glass prison?

  • @ZimZim349 How much harder is it to take care of these guys than it is cresteds? I'm not saying cresteds are that difficult to take care of because they aren't and they are fun lol, but these leaf-tailed geckos are really starting to appeal to me and I sorta of want to get one, they are just way too sweet!!! Do they have difficult demands in terms of temperatures/humidities or is it relatively easy? Thanks for the help :) reptiles rock!!

  • @lpgadiel
