PS Vita Gamelay: ZoOm ZOom! Ridge Racer Ep. 2

Kanako and I love racing! In real life AND in games! Some of my earliest memories with my original PSP were from the Ridge Racer game released at launch for the PSP 1000.

Now here we are several years later and it's like de ja vu for real! Same car designs, same track designs, it's like a prettier version of the same game. It's too early to say too much, but so far, I'm not impressed at all with Ridge Racer. I hope there's something I'm missing and will figure it out soon. But right now, game is very shallow.

In the future, I think either Wipeout or Modracer is going to be the better choices for exciting racing on the PS Vita! Look for videos about those two games in the near future!

Namco obviiously did not put much effort into this one. It could have been much much better.

the only thing that is holding me back is the 4-5 hour battery life. i would perfer if it can do atlease 8 hours or close enough since im always going places.

@GT4081 Yeah, you'll be hard pressed to find a device that does this and supplies 8 hours of service. Batteries aren't that good yet but I think the battery life is good enough by the time I found another power outlet.

I heard the framerate drops low in this game, but durring your racing in both videos looked smooth to me. Maybe I just cant see it or its been patched.

Hopefully this will come out tomorrow. Everyone has different release dates here in the states :(
