I watched some videos users have made in correlation to this song and didn't like what I had seen. A lot of political BS and lacking of meaning.

I believe there are two main messages in this song: Human potential exists, and the ability to use it for good or evil becomes greater as the world becomes more connected.

Thanks for that. The videos were pretty good, especially the first one simply because of the dove connection he discovered.

Although, those videos were very literal in there interpretation and honestly I'm amazed that not everyone sees that raw interpretation after watching the original video once.

Not sure what history has to do with the song either. In fact I think it has nothing to do with it.

I don't think that this song is a particularly political one, I believe it to be a statement about the nature of human beings. We have the compacity for great things. Constructive, life-saving, creative. We are more concerned with developing weapons than solving problems like poverty, hunger. We would rather be feared than respected. Thats not a political statement that's a human nature thing.

guys, to me, i'm not an EXACT supporter of Obama but I do support some of his views and actions, for example, he's not exactly creating more debt for the people, my opinion, the reason he's pulling troups out is because of military funds and profit going into Manpower rather than Medicaid for example, there's so muuuuch money going into military force that we have much more debt in our hands of bankruptcy... out of room, he's kind of going opposite of Bush's plan, he was, in my opinion,a dumbass

LOL, YES, political...
