The New Zealand Contractors' Federation was established in 1944 to act as the representative body of the Civil Construction Industry in New Zealand. Federation members carry out a wide variety of works from major civil construction projects in the energy, transportation and water reticulation areas through to small privare residential works. The Federation has approximately 400 members plus 200 indusry supplier associate members.
The Federation's National Office engages in advocacy at Central and Local Government levels, provides support to 14 regional branches and provides business support information for our members.
Membership support services include free technical and contractual advice in the areas of civil engineering, conditions of contract, understanding and using special conditions, subcontract agreements, and dispute resolution. The Federation also provieds various discount and buying schemes for members
