Japan's Prime Minister Hatoyama, promotes the idea of East Asian Union (EAU).
EAU is supposed to be an Asian equivalent of European Union.
Chinese Communist Government also wishes to realize EAU.
But, East Asia is quite different from Europe. EAU is 200% impossible.

I am Japanese and support the EAU. This man, I feel, is too closed minded. So what if Asia consists of many races? Does he mean that different races must always stay separated and not try to foster better relationships to the point that we are able to work as one? From the way he speaks, it seems he has a deep hate for China (the same for all right wing nationalists). Hatoyama-san was trying his best to normalize relations. I pray for peace between Japan and China.

@lcddg Prior to Japans defeat in ww2 they seemed to have been doing just fine without China, in fact they were bitching China around pretty good. Imperial Japan was built without Chinese or American assistance as far as I know.

the only reason why japan is rich is because of the USA...back then the americans really intent to back japan and make it rich to serve as a satellite state against the communist bloc and also to serve as the american's first line of defense..japan did not become rich on their own it is because of the americans so there's no reason for the japanese to take pride on their nation's wealth and also in their history cuz a big chunk of japanese history is written in chinese and written by chinese
