@xtremewave Actually, you're wrong.  Democrats wanted to extend certain provisions in it, but particularly wanted to attend to the privacy issues. Republicans blocked that part of it, which essentially gave them nearly the same rights to spy on us willy-nilly that Bush gave them the right to do.
