In the Cavite free trade zone Christy Ramirez is working for the Korean company SD Philippines, which produces trousers and coats for various North American labels. Overtime is the norm and the gates are often locked to prevent the workers from leaving the factory before their task is finished, at a factory where the workers are currently fighting to obtain recognition for their trade union.
