Love Moore, Love Pepper, Love the Black Villains who often steal the lime light from Bond. Taxi driver in New York is one of my favorites, but was watching it on Sy Fi this week and was incensed at all the editing done to his part and the rest of the movie to put it in line with the new PC reality.
@Woggyflush Yeah I can't deny that. But it was written in the fifties after all and I just don't care all that much for these comedic Bond movies. I prefer the grittier style in the books and many of the supporting characters like the black CIA chick and and sheriff Pepper annoyed the crap out of me. I know alot people like Baron Samedi but to me he was just....ehm..........strange.
Roger Moore is my favorite Bond as well, in spite of being three years older than Sean Connery he brings a youthfull vibrancy to the screen, it is hard to believe he is actually 45 years old in this film. I agree this is a great debut for Moore, I like the plot, the villians, the song, Solitare, the action scenes and even Sheriff J.W. Pepper. David Hedinson is also a good Felix Leiter, it is no wonder he is the only one to ever return. More low key than Moore's later films but still great.
Fine Bond reviews here- must have been a good deal of work. Making these vids must have emboldened you for not only did you come out with Moore as your favorite Bond (mine too btw) but you admitted to liking Pepper- I heard it! =p Anyway thanks for the vids.
he was but his face disguise was slightly ridiculous. Solitaire was a gorgeous Bond girl played by Seymour. The boat scene was superb, and probably my favorite scene in the film. The Voodoo stuff is against what I believe in, but getting over that, the film is very good.
Love this film. I also think J.W. Pepper is hilarious!

Gloria Hendry was sexy, but her character was useless.

I actually hate this movie. It's so campy and over the top. The book is great though.
